I'm going shopping !!!

Shopping, shopping, shopping for light fixtures. Not my usual way to spend an afternoon but beats watching old movies or soap operas.

And, whats closer to a women’s heart than SHOPPING! Usually we’re involved with looking for shoes or clothing, but once in a while we get the chance to redecorate a room (maybe two!). Our 50th anniversary is coming up and its time to get some new light fixtures for the living and family rooms.

I’m rather lazy, so instead of driving to 3 or 4 stores looking for new lamps and a big ole “pool hall” light for over the pool table in the family room, I’m trying online shopping (saves on shoe leather but can be really addictive!) My friend Amy told me about an online shopping site that has EVERYTHING I am looking for with....one click .

My husband is retired from the electrical business, so is in charge of finding several choices of hanging lamps for over our pool table. Fortunately, he is computer literate enough to know how to find things on the internet. (he’s also pretty good at using a credit card to pay for them).

I, on the other hand, always try to save time and do it the easy way ... shopping from home on my computer. Preferably on a site that finds everything for me, and lets me choose what stores I want to visit. If I want indoor light fixtures, I can find them. If I want a decorative Tiffney lamp or something to light up my desk, it’s there. And, when you have access to many, many stores, you have a great chance to save money. Just compare one store with another and go for the best deal.
