Larry the cable guy was on Live! With Regis and Kelly this morning. He was wearing his NEBRASKA tee shirt….good golly Miss Molly….he’s a Nebraska fan!!!
Yes, Larry the cable guy is a proud son of Pawnee City, Nebraska. He spent his early childhood there, but found that although Nebraska’s motto is “the good life”, a better life was in Palm Beach, Florida. You sure can’t blame him for that. Nebraska has tornados, floods, scorching heat and snow up the ying yang. All Florida has is a few hurricanes.
Larry, aka Dan Whitney, really isn’t a cable guy….thank heavens. I am a little picky about who comes into my house to fix my cable TV….big ole Larry would cause me to call Cox cable and ask for a young guy with manners.
Even though Larry deserted Nebraska in his early years (actually his parents moved to Florida, I doubt if he had much say so in the matter), he is a devoted Nebraska Cornhusker football fan and is often seen at Nebraska games. He is gracious with his fans and will frequently sign autographs and talks with fans after the games. He is probably lots more friendly if Nebraska wins…..the way Nebraska has been playing in the past few years, he hasn’t had much to be friendly about however.
