This is no ordinary jukebox (hey you youngsters, do you KNOW what a jukebox is?)
Back in the "old days" the jukebox was one of the most important items in a teenager's life (next to a car). We'd gather at what could loosely be termed a hamburger joint or malt shop, order up a
hamburger with fries and, if you didn't have to watch your weight, a malt. Walk over to the jukebox, put a quarter in the slot and pick out 3 songs we'd been waiting all day to hear. Sometimes we'd dance, jitterbug, shimmy, or stroll....depending on the songs picked out.
Other times we'd just sit, holding hands and maybe sneaking a kiss as we listened to the romantic song that floated across the room. Ah yes, the good ole days!
There is a Jukebox on this site - but it is no ordinary jukebox. It will play all of your favorite songs from 1950 through 1982. Each year has a scroll or drop down box that shows all the great songs for that year. Most years have over 40 songs. Once you click on a song it will play and when it finishes it automatically plays the next song in the list and continues until it has played all the songs.
